On July 29, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation issued a notice to cancel the export tax rebate of 23 kinds of steel products such as rail from August 1, 2021. The specific execution time shall be defined by the export date indicated on the export goods declaration form.
At the same time, in order to promote the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of the iron and steel industry, with the approval of the State Council, the Tariff Commission of the State Council issued an announcement that the export tariffs of ferrochrome and high-purity pig iron will be appropriately increased from August 1, 2021, and the export tax rates of 40% and 20% will be implemented respectively after adjustment.
